Our Story – Cox Farm has been nestled in the heart of Maple community on the outskirts of Conway, SC since the early 1800’s. Located 6 miles northeast of downtown Conway and 2 miles from Hwy 22, Cox Farm has produced the usual regional agriculture crops which include grains, tobacco, turpentine pecans, sugar cane, and vegetables.
Generations of Farming Tradition Now Grows Lavender in SC
Each generation has adapted to the growth of Horry County and changing agriculture markets. Cox Farm’s latest evolution is venturing into Lavender. Lavender is fascinating. With more than 400 varieties, lavender is used in culinary, decorating, health and beauty. At Cox Farm, there is something magical about lavender for everyone to experience. We began our transition into lavender farming in 2019.
Today, Cox Lavender Farm has 5000 plants made up of three varieties. With every year we grow and the next phase of our lavender growing plan is to expand with more varieties in the fall of 2024. You can now buy our lavender products online. Cox Lavender Farm offers a variety of backdrops for your wedding, event or special occasion. There are towering loblolly pines, hayfields, and a pond. Plenty of wide-open spaces to plan a family gathering or family reunion in the country.
In addition to the natural settings, there is a huge event barn along with yurts available for farm-to- market private dining, glamping, or other special occasions. Cox Lavender Farm hosts seasonal events throughout the year as well.
Our mission is to continue as an ongoing lavender farm, while offering a place where friends and families can have an enjoyable, peaceful respite from the day-to-day grind. We invite you to visit Cox Lavender Farm with your family, friends, or someone special. Make your memorable moments last forever at Cox Lavender Farm.
